WHEREAS, Dimone G. Long, a beloved friend and accomplished businessman, was born on November 8, 1970, and passed from this life on October 6, 2025; and
WHEREAS, Mr. Long exemplified excellence in both business and academia, holding a Juris Doctor (JD) and a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree, and demonstrated an unwavering commitment to the Humanities, the Arts, and the pursuit of Justice; and
WHEREAS, He was a husband, father, and devoted friend, a lover of music, an author, and a painter, known for his extraordinary benevolence, generosity, and compassion, using his gifts to uplift others, encourage education, and strengthen the fabric of community life; and
WHEREAS, Prior to his passing, Mr. Long accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior, affirming his faith and the eternal hope that defines the mission and spirit of the Respond2Grace Foundation; and
WHEREAS, The Respond2Grace Foundation, under the leadership of its Founder and Executive Director Richard D. Jones, is dedicated to transforming lives through prevention, transformation, and restoration—principles that align with the legacy of excellence, service, and grace exemplified by Mr. Long; and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT PROCLAIMED THAT:
The Respond2Grace Foundation, in honor of the life and legacy of Dimone G. Long, hereby establishes the
THE DIMONE G. LONG SCHOLARSHIP FUND
Purpose and Mission:
The Dimone G. Long Scholarship Fund shall be dedicated to:
1. Advancing the Arts and Humanities — encouraging creativity, critical thought, and cultural expression.
2. Promoting Entrepreneurship — supporting innovative thinkers and emerging leaders who strive to transform their communities through business and social enterprise.
3. Fostering Legal Education and the Pursuit of Justice — empowering students pursuing careers in law to uphold truth, fairness, and integrity in service to humanity.
Administration:
This fund shall be managed and administered under the governance and fiduciary oversight of the Respond2Grace Foundation, a 501(c)(3) faith-based nonprofit organization headquartered in Clinton, Maryland. Scholarship recipients shall be selected based on academic merit, character, leadership, and demonstrated commitment to the values embodied by Dimone G. Long—faith, excellence, and service.

Let this fund stand as a living testament to the enduring impact of Dimone G. Long’s life—a life that bridged intellect and compassion, business and justice, faith and purpose. May every recipient of this scholarship carry forward his legacy of wisdom, creativity, and integrity, shining as a beacon of hope and excellence for generations to come.
